St. Margaret’s Church, Bay St. Lawrence, Cape Breton
St. Margaret’s Church, in Bay St. Lawrence, on the northernmost tip of Cape Breton, was destroyed by fire. The congregation decided to build a new church using the time-honoured techniques of timber framing. See also the sign we made for the church.
Cheticamp Boatbuilders (their name is on the crane) did an excellent job as general contractor for the church. We would recommend them highly for other projects.
Head of the building committee, Thomas MacDonald, discusses a weighty matter with the parish priest, Fr. Duncan MacIsaac.
