A Hybrid Frame for a B&B in Port Lorne, NS
This is a new building for an existing Bed and Breakfast overlooking the Bay
of Fundy at Port Lorne on the North Mountain near Middleton. It's the Connie
& Fred's Living @ Home Bed and Breakfast (more photos on their
site). Even if you don't like panoramic ocean vistas, and soaring
wooden frameworks, you will still want to stay here just for Connie's
excellent breads and rolls.
Above: There will be a full length deck 16' high on this
wall, facing the Bay of Fundy. The view will be spectacular.
In this three-bay design, two bays, one housing the kitchen
and dining room, and one for the living area, have dramatic 40'
cathedral ceilings. The 3rd bay has 2 bedrooms below and an open
loft above.
